How
To Repair
Credit Quickly
Should
you choose to reduce your credit card debt through our debt negotiation and settlement
service, there are steps we recommend you take afterwards to improve your credit.
The primary ways to improve your credit score are the following: Correct
inaccurate, misleading, or unverifiable information on your credit report. The
Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act is the Federal law that governs your credit
report and protects you from inaccurate reporting by establishing a legal dispute
process that you can use to challenge and remove items that are inaccurate. Visit
our credit dispute page for important
information on how to clean up your credit report. Get
a credit card, secured credit card, or credit in general and immediately begin
to build a positive credit history. Use credit wisely and pay it off at the end
of the month. Within a couple of years this will bolster your score. Add
your name to another person's credit card. Although many consumers never consider
it, adding your name to a credit card that belongs primarily to another individual
is a great way to improve your credit score, assuming that credit card has a strong
payment history. Keep
the balance under 35% of credit limit. One of the things that impacts your credit
score is how much of your available credit limit has already been spent. In order
to have the most positive impact on your credit score, you need to keep the amount
of credit used at 35% or less than the total credit limit available. Pay
your bills on time. Many people find that their credit score is bad, and subsequently
think that there is nothing wrong with continuing this trend. This is a huge mistake.
If your credit score is low, you can improve it easily enough by paying your bills
on time every month.
